(Beethoven program is still in development. This page gives you a short overview of the project only, so please be patient and don't worry
)
Presumably features:
- All features that sound engine provides, of course (such as two channels, five octaves and 12 notes per octave, different timbres)
- Percussion instruments
- Load/store MIDI from/to basic files, send/recieve MIDI to/from PC
- Layout will be: menu bar at the bottom, above a claviature with two and a half octaves (you can scroll octaves through it). Next to the claviature there's a drum pad, and the upper half of the screen is filled by two instrument and one percussion channel
- When active, percussion will override the second MIDI channel whenever a drum is played. Thus, 3 channels logical, but 2 physical channels only
Besides, this MIDI tracker will have some revolutionary features for an AFX Add - In:
- Uses an experimental 13 color mode for the title (see screenshot) and 7 color mode for the main program
- Uses visual components such as editboxes, comboboxes, checkboxes, listboxes, popup menus and scrollbars (not sure yet if I'll make it also object oriented due to the low RAM)
- Due to visual components, it will use a simplified kind of window manager handling messages for VCLs
- Besides keyboard navigation, a kind of mouse will be available (controlled by cursor keys, Shift for high/low cursor speed, Alpha = left, Ctrl = right click)
